Highbrook Cottage

A place to slow down, settle in, and feel quietly restored

Tucked away among woods and rolling hills, our cosy, characterful cottage is a quiet place to slow down for a truly restorative break. Filled with soft light, warmth and comfort, the outside world gently fades away. Our peaceful vineyard retreat is where you can settle in, breathe and enjoy the calm simple pleasures of being away from it all and surrounded by nature.

Designed for unhurried days spent curling up indoors or exploring nature

Arrive as the afternoon light softens and the world begins to slow. Step inside, pop your bags down and feel the quiet settle around you. Pour a glass as dusk gathers, light the fire, be calmed by the cottage's warm welcome designed for unhurried days and the steady, soothing rhythm of the stream outside. Wake up to soft morning light and birdsong, with coffee in hand and time stretching ahead of you. Step outside to wander the vineyard. The air is fresh, the pace unhurried and the day yours to shape.

What 3 words location

///boost.sparkles.loops

Upon arrival at our cottage you’ll be greeted by a private lane hugged by a babbling brook and our vineyard. Say hello to the bustling flock of friendly ducks (whose eggs are available to pick up from the honesty box across the road) pheasants, wild rabbits and sheep who shelter under the oak and hazel trees nearby. Look up and you’ll be sure to spot a buzzard or red kite gliding above.

Take advantage of the ethereal first-morning light by throwing open the curtains and soaking up far-reaching views of the borderlands with a cup of local roastery coffee in our cosy dining nook. All that’s left to do after a day of exploring the waterfalls and woodlands of the Wales-England borders is to pour yourself a drink, light the fire and get lost in a good book, film or conversation.

“The best holiday we've ever had.  We can't even begin to say how absolutely perfect the location is - totally hidden away and very peaceful. According to my husband, he felt he'd died and gone to heaven!”
